PRINCIPAL'S
welcome

A very warm welcome to Avanti Gardens! I am very proud to be the Principal of our vibrant and exciting school, so thank you for taking the time to explore our school website.
At Avanti Gardens, our ethos is built upon three core pillars which are the golden thread in all that we do: Educational Excellence – Character Development – Spiritual Insight.

Learning at our school goes far beyond the classroom. Our beautiful grounds and bespoke Discover Your Wild outdoor programme help pupils connect with nature, build confidence, and develop life skills. Through sports, music, art, and cookery, children explore their interests, nurture creativity, and grow as confident, collaborative learners within a rich and inspiring environment.
Beyond the Classroom

At Avanti Gardens, our broad, ambitious curriculum builds knowledge and skills through connected topics. Communication and language are prioritised early, ensuring strong foundations for future learning. Expert teachers inspire curiosity and memory retention, while reading is central to school life. Enrichment days, music lessons, and clubs nurture creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Academic Life

Avanti Gardens emphasises the importance of mental and physical well-being. Weekly whole class yoga sessions and daily meditation are incorporated and protected within our timetable, helping students cultivate mindfulness, self-regulation, and physical health as foundational aspects of their lives.
Yoga & Meditation

Avanti Gardens offers a large range of educational visits including retreats and trips both locally and nationally. Students have visited The Houses of Parliament, Isle of White, The Life Skills Centre, Wildlife Reserves, Caerleon, and Local Museums e.g. M Shed, sailed on The Matthew, and Swindon Steam Museum.
Educational Visits

At Avanti, shared meals are a valued part of school life. Our hot, freshly prepared vegetarian lunches promote health, community, and respect. Staff and pupils dine together, fostering social skills and a family atmosphere. Menus are nutritious, varied, and available online, with dietary needs carefully accommodated to ensure every child enjoys a positive lunchtime experience.
